This Thursday, February 19th 2026, the Samara FIR of the VATRUS Division invites you to the "Online Evening in Ulyanovsk" event. We look forward to welcoming you to Baratayevka Airport (UWLL), where full air traffic control services will be provided from 17:00 to 20:00 UTC.

Ulyanovsk is a UNESCO City of Literature in Russia and the administrative center of the Ulyanovsk Region. It is home to the Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation, a higher education institution where future aviation specialists are trained. Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin, a Russian writer and historian, one of the reformers of the Russian literary language, was born and raised in the Simbirsk Region. Ulyanovsk Baratayevka Airport, after whom, is named, is located there nowadays.

Other airports in the Samara FIR will operate under the Samara Control position; lower positions will be connected when possible.
