Description

Novokuznetsk Volynov Airport is an international airport of federal significance of the city of Novokuznetsk.

The airport complex has an air terminal and an on-board catering shop designed to serve 580 passengers per hour, as well as a restaurant, a bar, a dining room, a 97-seat hotel, a hall for first and business class passengers, a guarded parking lot, a mother and child room.

On February 25, 2025, a new terminal with an area of 19.5 thousand square meters was opened with a capacity of up to 1730000 people per year, and the forecourt is also expanding. This expansion will increase the comfort level, as well as increase the number of flights.

At the moment, Novokuznetsk Airport is connected by an air bridge with the capital of Russia - the city of Moscow, the northern capital - the city of St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Sochi, Yekaterinburg, Ufa. New directions are also being developed, namely: Makhachkala, Irkutsk, as well as with international destinations.

Tu-154, IL-76, Tu-204, Tu-214, A-319, A-320, A-321, B-737-300/400/500/600/700/800, B-757-200B-767-300, Yak-40, AN-24, AN-26 and class below.

Novokuznetsk Airport uses feet and QNH (QFE and meters on request).

Transition level:

  • - FL50 when QNH is 1013 hPa or above
  • - FL60 when QNH is 977 hPa ил  or above, но but less then 1013 hPa
  • - FL70  when QNH is less than 977 hPa

Transition altitude is 4000 feet

At the moment, due to the opening of the new terminal, aircraft are being installed on stands 1-2, 4-8 only with their noses to the northwest, and departure is carried out by push back their noses to the southwest.

Towing shall be carried out with aircraft navigation and flashing lights switched on. The safety of towing shall be ensured by a person directing the towing.

IFR clearance requested from the ATC Novokuznetsk-Start.

De-icing is being implemented on apron (on traverse stands).

De-icing/anti-icing treatment of ACFT with running engines is not performed.

Aircraft start up at stands or on the taxiing route of aircraft passing along stands 1-2. 4-8 from the eastern side.

The request for taxing, push back, tow, and taxiing for stands 1-2, 4-6 is carried out at the ATC Novokuznetsk-Transit.

The request for taxing, push back, tow, and taxiing for stands 7-8, small apron taxiways A, B is carried out at the ATC Novokuznetsk-Approach.

Taxiing via the small apron in PROHIBITED. Movement of ACFT on the small apron shall be executed by towing.

Landing sites W1, W14 are AVBL for take-off/landing of HEL.

HEL parking onto landing site W14 shall be carried out by taxiing under own engines power or by towing.

HEL parking onto landing site W1 shall be carried out by towing.

Movement from the RWY to landing site W1 shall be carried out by air taxiing along the route: southern RWY extremity - landing site W1 in daylight hours

If the sideways component of the wind is less than 5 m/s, the "reverse start" procedure is used. RWY 01 is used for departure, RWY 19 is used for approach. In agreement with the ATC, other options for the operation of the airport are possible.

  • RWY 19: 1M (RNAV), 1J (NON-RNAV via NOW), 1B (NON-RNAV via UF), 1G (NON-RMAV via U)
  • RWY 01: 1L (RNAV), 1K (NON-RNAV via NOW), 1A (NON-RNAV via UF), 1F (NON-RNAV via U)

Standart arrival procedure (STAR):

  • RWY 19: 1P (RNAV), 1D (NON-RNAV via UF), 1R (NON-RNAV via NOW), 1C (NON-RNAV via U)
  • RWY 01: 1N (RNAV), 1R (NON-RNAV via NOW), 1C (NON-RNAV via U)

Airport Novokuznetsk provided to approach CAT I for RWY 19.

Approach:

  • RWY 19: ILS Z(RNAV)/W(via NOW)/X(via UF) (CAT I), VOR, RNAV, GLS, NDB Z(via U)/Y(via UF)
  • RWY 01: RNAV, GLS, VOR, NDB X
