Description

Omsk-Centralny is an international airport serving the city of Omsk. It ranks among the top 30 Russian airports in terms of passenger, cargo, and mail transportation and is included in the list of 92 federal-level aerodromes essential for fulfilling the responsibilities of the Russian Federation. The airport operates as a joint-use aerodrome, hosting both civil aviation and aircraft of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The aerodrome accommodates the following aircraft types: An-2, An-12, An-24, An-26, An-148, Il-18, Il-76, Il-114, Tu-134, Tu-154, Tu-204, Tu-214, Yak-40, Yak-42, RRJ-95, А-319-100, A-320, A-321, A-330, ATR-42/72, B737 all modifications, BAe-125-700, BAe-146-200, B757, B767-200, B767-300, B767-300ER, CRJ-100/200, ERJ-170/190, Falcon 900, Fokker 50, Hawker 800, L-410, Learjet 60, helicopters of all types.

Omsk-Tsentralny airport uses feet and pressure QNH. (QFE on request).

Transition altitude 4000 feet.

Transition level:
FL050 at a QNH pressure is 1013 hPa (760 mmHg) and above;

FL060 at a QNH pressure between 977 hPa (733 mmHg) and 1013 hPa (760 mmHg).

FL070 at a QNH pressure is 976 hPa and below

Taxiing – limitations

TWY C segment from RWY to TWY M is closed.

Taxiing of ACFT with low-mounted engines via TWY C segment from TWY M to the apron under own engines power is PROHIBITED. Taxiing shall be carried out only by towing.

Taxiing of Il-76 ACFT on the apron from stand 4 to stand 20 is PROHIBITED.

Parking of aircraft type A330 is only performed on stand 3.

Additional Information

Please note that Omsk-Start and Omsk-Radar operate on the same frequency - 119,000 MHz. We recommend you to reduce the number of transmissions for effective ATC.

On final approach segment the flight crew shall maintain IAS of not less than 300 km/h (160 knots) up to a distance of 8 km (4 NM) from threshold of the runway of landing.

The ornithological situation in the vicinity of the aerodrome is conditioned by seasonal and daily bird migration.

The main directions of bird migrations are from south to north in spring and from north to south in autumn at heights from 50 m up to 900 m AGL. Periodicity of migrations is 2-4 flocks of birds per hour.

Daily bird migration is observed in the morning (0001-0400 UTC) and in the evening (1300-1500 UTC) at heights from 50 m up to 500 m from north-west to south-east and vice versa. Periodicity of migrations is 2-4 flocks of birds per hour. In dark hours birds usually create large dispersed concentrations that increases the hazard of collision with them.

There is a reservoir named the Ptichya Gavan in the vicinity of RWY 25 LMM where water birds fly in for nesting (March-November). The Irtysh river flows from the South to the North at 2 km from the eastern outskirts of the aerodrome.
